Drill Hole Location Map with Existing Zinc and Tin Resources

The maps below illustrate the collar locations and drill traces of the drill holes completed and in progress at South Ayawilca, West Ayawilca, Zone 3, Chaucha, and Valley. The second map includes Reduced to Equator airborne magnetic data. The table below the maps rovides the status of the drill holes as at December 6, 2017, followed by complete 2017 drill results reported to date.

2017 Drill Program Overview

The Company received new 3 year drill permits for its Ayawilca property in February 2017. The new drill permits cover an area that is approximately three times the area covered under the previous drill permits, and include major new geophysical/geochemical anomalies that have never been drill tested.

A ~20,000 metre diamond drill program commenced at the Property in mid-February 2017 and is ongoing.

Drilling focused initially at South Ayawilca. The first drill hole of the 2017 program, hole A17-56, targeted a magnetic anomaly at the intersection of two important faults. Partial results from hole A17-56 indicate a new high grade zone discovery at South Ayawilca, approximately 400 metres from any previously defined mineralization at Central Ayawilca (March 6, 2017, news release).

Tinka acquired airborne magnetic data on 200 metre-spaced lines over the entire Ayawilca Property, covering 150 km 2, in 2016. Magnetic anomalies are shown as red colours in the figure below, with many anomalies not yet drilled (see map below).

A strong gravity anomaly was discovered at Ayawilca in 2014 (using a 100m x 100m spaced surface grid). The anomaly covers an area of approximately 4 km 2 . The gravity anomaly is believed to be, in part, caused by sulphides at depth (i.e., sulphides are more dense than the surrounding host rocks). The known zinc mineralization occurs either above or on the margin of the gravity anomalies. The gravity anomaly extends well beyond the limits of the existing drill area, and provides many high priority future drill targets.

Soil Geochemistry

Tinka has conducted extensive surface soil sampling at Ayawilca. Elevated levels of zinc in soils were found above the existing mineral resource zones, suggesting that soil geochemistry is another useful tool for identifying areas of potential zinc mineralization at depth. Large zinc soil anomalies exist at surface at South Ayawilca, Zone 3, Chaucha and Valley. Most of these area are so far undrilled.

Other Prospects

Other prospects at Ayawilca: Tinka has discovered a number of new prospects within its mineral claims at the Ayawilca Property, including the Pucarumi, Tambillo and Yanapizgo areas. These new areas continue to be explored with low-cost surface work.
